Our bride and groom are walking back towards their reception. The image was taken at the Skinner Barn in Waitsfield, Vermont. We had just completed a quick series of posed photos in a nearby field. I ran ahead so I could get some photos of them walking back. I took both color and infrared images.  The color images were nice, but the infrared had a dramatic quality. Infrared tends to turn foliage a bright white that has a dream like feel. Like this image, I often do infrared in a warm sepia tone.

Brides Prayer

This moment happened just before the bride was to put on her wedding gown. The event was taking place at Sugarbush Inn in Warren, Vermont. As the bride and her closest friends got into a group  holding hands, I grabbed a camera that was good in dark situations that would not require flash. I positioned the bride in the center and made sure to include her wedding gown in the photo on the right.   I clicked off a few exposures and my favorite was this image showing the bride with an angelic smile,   the perfect expression for a tender moment. Just seconds later the room exploded in a frenzy of activity as everyone started getting ready for the big occasion. Sepia tone softens the photo and adds to the subtle natural window light.

This is one of my all time favorite wedding photos. This classic wedding photo was taken at The Old Lantern in Charlotte, Vermont. The quality of light in the room was amazing! This beautiful light and the wonderful expressions of the bride and groom and their guests, really allows you to feel all of the emotions that were in the room that day. This image was captured using a low light lens and just the interior lighting of the room. Since no flash was used, the character of the event and its beautiful lighting was preserved. The final image was toned sepia to give it a timeless quality.
